My heart sank...

As I saw the pile of red hair laying on the kitchen floor, my heart sank! Not again, I mean seriously. How could anyone forget when Rylie convinced Brenden to give her a hair cut last year. When she realized that she had to grow it back...well, she was devastated! How could she let it happen again?? She loves her hair, she is always crying because it is not growing as fast as her sisters and she can't do two ponies(and have it stay all day). So when I saw this my heart sank....
Then as I called for my kids...I heard Kenzie crying. I walked around the corner and saw this..

My first thought...thank goodness...it was not my sweet Rylie's hair!
My second thought...grab the camera.

Kenzie giving her baby a love cause she destroyed her hair.

I asked Kenzie if she cut any of her own hair. She looked at me like I was stupid and said NO Way...just my baby. So all my girls still have lovely hair, at least for today!

Am I crazy???

My afternoon conversation with my little girls went like this...
Mom, can we play playdoh...please???
And I said, no because you never clean it up and it gets everywhere!?!
Mommy..please, please we will clean it up.
And I said, you girls said that last time and I had to clean it up.
And Kenzie softly says...sorry mom..
And I said, Ok...if you will clean it up.
30 min later::::
The pictures do this mess no justice---------

The look I got when I reminder her that she promised to clean it all up!!

Then(of course) I hear MOM...Kenzie is not helping! And I found her like this! Yes, she is eating a can of carrots, raw. Just sitting on the stool waiting for Rylie to do her job as she grabs a quick snack.

Then Rylie gently tries to convince Kenzie to help....

All said and done, and cleaned up...I wonder why???
Why did I give in and let them play with playdoh??
Why when I knew they would not clean it up???
Why I gave in and helped??
Simply, I guess I am just a tad bit crazy...and I love these little girls. And they love playdoh, and it makes them happy! And it is just a mess. That's WHY!

The Johnson's + ONE more????

Introducing.... our newest family member!! RYKER...

The kids have been wanting a puppy for the longest time. Brenden kept telling us "if your not going to give me a brother, at least get me a dog!" He seriously is the cutest thing. He is very calm and loves to cuddle. The kids baby him all that they can(I might even baby him a little). They even tuck him in at night with one of Kenzie's old baby blankets. Wish us luck through the puppy stages!!!

Road Trip....

This past weekend I decided to take the kids to my Dad's and Grandma's house. Jason had to work out of town so we were off. The kids had a great time. They love getting spoiled from everyone. My Dad has a steer and a horse, they loved feeding them. They ate way to much ice cream and had way to much sugar, but they made tons of memories.

Hailey getting tickled by Papa's whiskers...she is loving every second of it!

They all love to wrestle with my Dad, he is like a giant teddy bear.

All Kenzie kept saying when she was feeding the horse was "that tickles"

I love Rylies face here...she is just thrilled.

Brenden and Hailey saying...WAZ UP MOM!

Rylie fell and she is asking me "Mom, do I have cow poop on my hands???"

I was just about to take Kenzie's picture when the pig came up behind her. She was a little unsure about him.

Here is Rylie giving me her best piggy pose!!

Brenden and Hailey watching my Dad try to rope the steer.

Rylie trying to sneak some more feed for the steer.

Brenden's best cowboy look!

Brenden even got to pan some gold with my Dad. He loves rocks and stuff like that. We had a great time, but like always it was great to be home!!

Funny things they say

My kids keep me laughing all the time. Jason thinks that I am too easily amused.
Brenden: Mom, do you think it is NORMAL for me to have this many freckles???
Rylie: Don't worry mom, we are just playing Lamenities.
Hailey: Mom, do you think that I could crank call Jonathan?(a boy she likes from school)
They just crack me up!

Pinewood Derby and more crazy sleepers...

Saturday it was the pinewood derby. This was Brenden's first time. Jason did not have very much time to help out with his car, but it turned out really cool. Brenden took first place in one heat and that made his day. It was so much fun to watch him. I guess when you are 8 nothing compares to racing cars and hanging out with your friends.

Here are the past couple of nights...I do not know what the deal is with these crazy sleepers of mine.
They keep taking the pillow cases of their pillows. I guess Kenzie thought is was a sleeping bag. Crazy kid!

Here is Rylie and Kenzie totally zonked out on a huge teddy bear. The crazy thing is I do not care as long as they sleep good!

Just a note...things are going to be picking up around here again. Hailey is playing soccer and is still doing running club. Brenden just started flag football and that is 3 times a week. Plus he has scouts and I have girls over for activity days once a week. It gets kinda crazy but we love it!!

My Valentines....

This is how my kids woke up on Saturday morning...my valentines hung over their door. Some of the hearts said reasons why I love them. Some were coupons that they could use for later. Like: Mom will put your laundry away for you. Things like that. Brenden's favorite was...you can pass on one shower. The kid hates taking a shower. I am hoping that will change one day. They also had some goodies at the table waiting for them.

Jason and I got to go to dinner at Red Lobster...one of our favorites. It was so nice to have the quiet. I love spending time with just Jason. Selfish I know!! He surprised me with some beautiful roses and a new biofit bra from Victoria's Secret(I had been wanting for some time). It made me laugh to think of him in VS all dirty from work, holding a measurement card they had given me last time I was there..that he stole from my drawer. He said they were quite helpful. And I love my new bra!! A big thanks to Nan and Patti for sending us and for holding down the fort while we were out. The kids had a blast watching movies and getting spoiled while they were here.

Kinda Random...
Kenzie is famous for sleeping with just about anything. We find her in her bed with all kinds of stuff and there is barley enough room for her. She has been afraid of the dark lately. We just keep sending her to bed assuring her that she is fine. The next morning I found her asleep with Brenden's HUGE Nerf bazooka gun. I guess it made things a little less scary.
